Donate Food or Money. Your generous donations make a real difference to families and individuals in need across New Plymouth.


Donating Food
We welcome donations of non-perishable and fresh food that meets food safety guidelines. Popular items include canned goods, pasta, rice, breakfast cereals, spreads, fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, and frozen meat. If you have surplus food from your home, garden, or business, please consider donating it to help reduce food waste and support the community.
Please ensure food donations:

Are well within the ‘use-by’ date (food past this date cannot be accepted)

Have intact packaging with no signs of damage or spoilage

Are separated from non-food items and allergens, if possible
-
Are fresh, chilled, or frozen as required for safety

Easy to heat and eat foods (for rough sleepers, people with limited resources or those who are unwell)

Monetary donations allow us to purchase the most needed food items, cover operational costs, and respond flexibly to increasing demand. Every dollar helps us deliver meals and support services across the region.
